Debit cards at Verifone POS terminals

We wish to advise that there is currently an issue at some merchant locations, as a result of a software update, on their point of sale devices. Unfortunately, this is resulting in cards issued in 2019 (debit & credit) being declined. If you experience an issue with your debit card, you can:
* Split your transaction in two to allow for Contactless transactions. 
* Enable Google Pay, Samsung Pay, or Apple Pay on your mobile phone.
* We also recommend that members have cash on hand as a back up until this issue is resolved.

Are you a CUETS Financial card holder?

Effective March 9, you will need to change your bill payee from CUETS Financial Mastercard to MBNA Canada Mastercard in order to continue paying through SCU Direct. Learn how by reading the instructions in SCU Direct on the bill payee page.

1 Does not apply to Plan 24®. Transaction fee for Plan 24 is $1.00.
2 This fee is in addition to SCU’s transfer-out fee.
3 If pre-authorized transfers are returned as Insufficient Funds more than once in any calendar year, they will be cancelled by SCU.
4 A 2.50% service fee on the POS purchase price is applied on top of the $3.50 fee.
5 First monthly transfer from a TFSA is free. Subsequent withdrawals are subject to fees as above, charged at the end of the month. Please ensure funds are available in your TFSA for any fees.
6 A minimum balance of $5.00 is required in a variable TFSA and RRSP to keep the contract open, unless there are other assets in the contract or the account will receive pre-authorized transfers.
